Understanding assignment rules
Assignment rules are used to automatically assign discovered certificates to designated organizations and departments. These rules are applied to certificate buckets, which are associated with certificate discovery tasks.
When a discovered certificate matches all conditions of an assignment rule, it is automatically assigned to the specified organization and department.

Column | Description |

ID |
The unique identifying number of the assignment rule. |
Name |
The name of the assignment rule. |
Organization |
The organization to which the assignment rule assigns certificates. |
Department |
The department, if any, to which the assignment rule assigns certificates. |
Certificate Type |
The type of certificate to which the assignment rule applies. The possible values are:

Filter |
Enables you to sort the table information using custom filters. |
Group |
Enables you to sort the table information using predefined groups. |
Refresh |
Refreshes the information presented in the table. |
Manage Columns |
Enables you to select which table columns to display. |
Admin controls |

Add |
Opens the Create New Assignment Rule dialog where you can add a new assignment rule. |
Delete |
Removes the selected assignment rule. |
Edit |
Opens the Edit Assignment Rule dialog where you can manage an existing assignment rule. |
