Managing password policies

Edit a password policy

  1. Navigate to Settings  Password Policies.

  2. Select the MRAO Admin password policy and click Edit.

  3. (Optional) Specify whether to force password change on next login for passwords not meeting these requirements.

  4. Complete the Edit Password Policy fields based on the information provided in the following table.

    Field Description

    Password Expires

    The period of time after which the password is no longer valid and a new password must be created

    Password History Length

    The number of unique passwords that must be used before a password can be reused

    Minimum Password Length

    The minimum number of characters required for the password

    Password requirements

    Specific requirements that when enabled must be met by all passwords

    The possible requirements are:

    • Uppercase characters required — The password must include at least one uppercase character

    • Lowercase characters required — The password must include at least one lowercase character

    • Digits required — The password must include at least one numeric value

    • Special characters required — The password must include at least one special character

    Maximum sequence of repeating characters

    The maximum number of times characters can be repeated consecutively within the password

    Verify password not pwned

    Password verification against the HaveIBeenPwned.com's password list to confirm that the password has not been compromised

  5. Click Save.

  1. Navigate to Settings  Password Policies.

  2. Select the RAO/DRAO password policy and click Edit.

  3. (Optional) Specify whether to force password change on next login for passwords not meeting these requirements.

  4. Complete the Edit Password Policy fields based on the information provided in the following table.

  5. Click Save.

Delegate an organization/department password policy

  1. Navigate to Settings  Password Policies.

  2. Select a password policy and click Delegate.

  3. Select General to apply policies to all existing organizations, or select Customized and manually specify organizations/departments.

  4. Click Save.

Delete a password policy

  1. Navigate to Settings  Password Policies.

  2. Select the password policy to be deleted.

  3. Click the Delete icon.

  4. Click Delete.
