Managing certificate discovery tasks

Edit discovery task details

  1. Navigate to Discovery  Discovery Tasks.

  2. Select the discovery task to be updated, and click Manage.

  3. In the Details panel, click Edit details.

  4. Update your discovery task details based on the information provided in the following table.

    Field Description

    Name

    The name of the certificate discovery task.

    Bucket

    The certificate bucket used to group certificates discovered by the task.

  5. Click Save.

Edit discovery task schedule

  1. Navigate to Discovery  Discovery Tasks.

  2. Select the discovery task to be updated, and click Manage.

  3. In the Schedule panel, click Edit schedule.

  4. Select and configure a scan frequency.

  5. Click Save.

Updating discovery task scan ranges

Add a new scan range

  1. Navigate to Discovery  Discovery Tasks.

  2. Select the discovery task to be updated, and click Manage.

  3. Select the Ranges tab.

  4. Click Add New Range.

  5. Complete the Add range fields based on the information provided in the following table.

    Field Description

    Hostname

    The hostname of the resource to be scanned.

    IP or IP range

    The IP or hyphen-separated IP range to be scanned.

    CIDR

    The IP address in CIDR format.

  6. Click Save.

Edit a scan range

  1. Navigate to Discovery  Discovery Tasks.

  2. Select the discovery task to be updated, and click Manage.

  3. Select the Ranges tab.

  4. Locate the range to be updated, and click Edit.

  5. Complete the Edit range fields based on the information provided in the following table.

    Field Description

    Hostname

    The hostname of the resource to be scanned.

    IP or IP range

    The IP or hyphen-separated IP range to be scanned.

    CIDR

    The IP address in CIDR format.

  6. Click Save.

Delete a scan range

  1. Navigate to Discovery  Discovery Tasks.

  2. Select the discovery task to be updated, and click Manage.

  3. Select the Ranges tab.

  4. Locate the range to be deleted, and click the Delete icon.

    At least one scan range is required for a discovery task.

Delete a discovery task

  1. Navigate to Discovery  Discovery Tasks.

  2. Select the discovery task to be deleted, and click Manage.

  3. In the Actions panel, click Delete Discovery Task.

  4. Click Yes.
