Managing the WordPress plugin

Generate a license key

  1. Navigate to your website’s comprehensive view.

    For more information on your website’s comprehensive view, see Understanding your dashboard.

  2. On the tab bar, click Site Settings.

  3. In the left-hand menu, click WordPress Plugin.

  4. Click Generate License Key.

    If you have already generated a license key, you can click Regenerate License Key to generate a new one. This will invalidate the previous license key.

  5. Copy the generated license key.

  6. Navigate to the SiteLock Plan & License page of your WordPress site.

  7. Paste the license key in the appropriate field.

    Once connected, WordPress Plugin users can manage their website’s security directly from the WordPress admin panel, including running scans, viewing scan results, and managing security settings.

Deactivate the license key

  1. Navigate to your website’s comprehensive view.

  2. On the tab bar, click Site Settings.

  3. In the left-hand menu, click WordPress Plugin.

  4. Under the license key field, click Deactivate.

  5. Confirm the deactivation by clicking Yes in the confirmation prompt.

    Once deactivated, the license key will no longer be valid for connecting the WordPress Plugin to the SiteLock Dashboard.
