Managing SMART File Scan

Navigate to the SMART File Scan page

  1. Go to your website’s comprehensive site view.

  2. Click Security Report.

  3. Click Security Scans.

  4. Under SMART File Scan, click View Details to open the SMART File Scan page.

Start a manual scan

  1. Navigate to the SMART File Scan page for your website.

  2. Click Scan Now to initiate a manual scan.

    The scan may take several minutes to complete, depending on the size of your database.

Viewing results

View a file in scan results

  1. On the SMART File Scan page, go to Scan Results.

  2. Select the tab you want to view.

    The available tabs are:

    • Malicious Files

    • Suspicious Files

    • Files Under Review

  3. Click View next to the file you want to examine to open its details.

View a previous scan

  1. Navigate to your website’s SMART File Scan page.

  2. Scroll to Full Scan History.

  3. Use the date picker to select the desired date.

  4. In the row of the scan you want to view, click View.

    The page will reload and display the scan results from that specific scan.

Export the results

  1. Navigate to your website’s SMART File Scan page.

  2. In Scan Results, click Export CSV.

  3. Choose a location on your computer and click Save.

    The scan results will be downloaded in CSV format for your review.

Cleaning malicious files

Clean a malicious file

If automatic malware removal is enabled, infected files will be cleaned during the scan without manual action.
  1. On the SMART File Scan page, go to the Scan Results section.

  2. Click the Malicious Files tab.

  3. Locate the file, click View.

  4. In the pop-up, click Clean File.

Clean all malicious files

  1. Navigate to your website’s SMART File Scan page.

  2. In Scan Results, click the Malicious Files tab.

  3. Click Clean All to clean all detected malicious files.
