Understanding users

Users in the Sectigo Partner Platform (SPP) are responsible for managing users and customers within the platform, in addition to handling end customer accounts, subscriptions, and services. They ensure that certificates are managed securely, issued accurately, and comply with industry standards and regulations.

The primary user privileges and restrictions are divided as follows:

  • Admin — Admins manage users, end customer accounts, subscriptions, and customer services.

  • Technician — Technicians manage end customer users and services.

Users can be managed on the Users page.

The following table describes the details and controls of the Users page.

Element Description

Email

The user’s email address used for notifications and certificate issuance.

First Name

The user’s first name.

Last Name

The user’s last name.

Role

The user’s role in the Sectigo Partner Platform.

The possible roles are:

  • Admin — Admins manage users, end customer accounts, subscriptions, and customer services.

  • Technician — Technicians manage end customer users and services.

Status

Indicates whether the user’s account is active and able to access SPP.

Created

The date that the user’s account was created.

Admin controls

Add New

Opens the Create User dialog where you can add a new administrator account.

Manage

Opens the Manage User page where you can manage the existing user.
