Sectigo Reseller Area

You can place orders through the Sectigo Reseller Area (SRA) and the AutoApplyOrder API which allow end-customers to order the products. This is a very simple technical integration, especially for existing Sectigo resellers.

For security, the API requires that all transactions be submitted via the POST method using the HTTPS protocol. All API transactions require the use of a user ID and password, which will be provided by Sectigo upon the establishment of a partner account.

Integration timeline

Existing Sectigo partners only need to enable the product feature in the SRA. If an existing partner is on a custom pricing band, their buy prices may also need to be set up in order to sell the product. A typical integration timeline is 1-2 days.

For new partners who sign up through the SRA page, an estimated integration timeline is 2-4 weeks. Once a contract has been agreed upon, and funds have been deposited, the integration process begins. Initially, a weekly cadence meeting is preferable to establish what is needed by the partner and what blockers exist.

Expertise needed
  • SiteLock purchasing through the autoApplyOrder API: Developers with knowledge of the autoApplyOrder API and an understanding of REST API.

Prerequisites
  • Contract in place: Prior to integration, a contract should be in place that establishes which plans will be offered, their respective buy and sell rates, and any other commitments.

  • Sectigo Partner account setup: Each partner will need their own reseller account in the Sectigo system. During the creation of the partner account, the partner’s plans will be created and pricing recorded.

  • Partner accounts enabled to sell SiteLock products: Partners can enable the product feature themselves in the SRA or have a Sectigo account manager assist them.

Exclusions/Inclusions

The Sectigo autoApplyOrder API has been designed as a software intermediary that communicates with the SiteLock API to enable the fastest integration for partners who want to support billing through the SRA.

  • Provisioning accounts, products, and add-ons

  • Upgrading/downgrading products

  • Refunding/cancelling products

  • Auto-renewing products
