Introduction to Mark Certificates

Mark сertificates enable organizations to display trademarked or brand logos in recipients' inboxes, in accordance with Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI) standard, boosting sender legitimacy and email engagement. This boost occurs because the use of this technology, supported by mark certificates, evidences to recipients that the organization’s email domain is protected from phishing and spoofing attacks through the enforcement of the DMARC protocol.

Additionally, it enhances brand recognition and improves email deliverability, increasing the probability that your messages are routed to inboxes instead of spam folders.

The service supports both resale and direct usage, allowing partners to integrate it into their offerings or adopt it internally.

Mark certificates include:

  • Verified Mark Certificates (VMCs) — Display a verified trademarked logo.

  • Common Mark Certificates (CMCs) — Display a prior use mark, ideal when trademarking isn’t feasible.

Partners can manage the mark certificates throughout their lifecycle, including requesting, validation, re-issuance and revocation through APIs, enabling streamlined administration for their customers or internal use.

Supported email providers

  • VMCs: Gmail, Yahoo, Apple Mail, and other BIMI-supporting clients

  • CMCs: Gmail, Zone

Supported email providers may change. For the latest list, see BIMI official website.
